What Are the Main Functions of an Audio Processor?

2023-04-17

In large electronic devices, audio processors can adjust the output effects of music or soundtracks to create a unique auditory experience, and also have full control over the on-site audio functions. Compared with other audio processing devices, audio processors not only integrate audio processing functions, but also incorporate elements of on-site system functions, with rich and diverse functions.

Frequency division processing: The audio processor makes targeted adjustments and information processing based on the different frequency information generated by the audio in different working states, and the output signal matches the audio frequency band. This function allows the audio processor to be compatible with various audio equipment, and can process the sound information and accurately transmit it to the audio equipment regardless of whether the equipment is operating normally.

Delay calibration: The scene is usually composed of multiple audio equipment, and time differences are inevitable when using them. The delay function of the audio processor is designed to solve this problem, automatically calibrating the time difference to allow the signal to be played synchronously.

Balance adjustment: Although the audio processing system is powerful, some defects are inevitable in actual use, such as frequency response characteristics. In order to minimize the impact of defects, the audio processor is equipped with an equalization function, which can monitor the frequency response characteristic defects in real time and make corresponding adjustments and repairs.

Signal limiting: The limiting function of the audio processor can control the signal strength and prevent errors such as interference caused by signal strength errors. Of course, the control of signal strength needs to be flexibly adjusted according to the actual situation on site.
